Hi,
I'm trying to install LMDE on an EeePC (which has as very small 4gb disk). I managed to do it years ago with LMDE1 on a similar laptop, but it was a little tricky.
Now, I want to do it again but, as I can't find the LMDE1 ISO anymore, I tried with LMDE3, which is a bit larger, and doesn't fit.
As it installs many softwares that I found useless for my usage (LibreOffice, ...), and locales and languages that I don't talk, is there a way to get the live installer not to install those programs and locales, which take a lot of disk space?
Thus, the OS could fit in my disk and complete installation properly.
Thanks,
Vic

Re: Custom install
Why don't you choose a distro with a smaller footprint. there are many available that allow a minimal installation version that probably is just right for you.
Re: Custom install
Thanks for your answer.
In fact, I reallly wanted Linux Mint as it's well finished, with good graphics and all.
Finally, I managed to install it yesterday, simply by putting /home and /usr on a different disk (the EeePC has a card slot, so I took a fast SD card, and splitted it in 2 partitions).
Thanks,
Vic
