Mintupgrade "Downgrade Foreign Packages" hung

Post by ron_h »

LMDE2 Cinnamon 64bit using Mintupgrade to go to LMDE3 Cinnamon

I am stepping through the 'How to upgrade to LMDE3' tutorial on an old laptop I don't use a lot . Everything went smoothly till I got to the "Downgrade Foreign Packages" step. There were 3 packages listed, so I selected all 3 and clicked Downgrade. While processing the downgrade for 'dmz-cursor-theme libbluray1' the process appears to have hung, at least there has been no change to the terminal window for over an hour. The last 2 lines in the teminal window are

Processing triggers for libc-bin (2.24-11+den9u3) ...
"

Can I just ignore this ? If not, advice as to what to do would be very welcome.
