You're welcome, and thank you for your follow-up. Happy to know that you found a way to accomplish what you wanted to do in the first place. In the final analysis, that's all that really matters. Good luck, and have fun exploring LMDE 4.george_dee wrote: ↑Sat Apr 18, 2020 4:43 pmThanks for the offer, but i have found a workaround.
I was able to install lmde3 and then upgrade to 4.

Re: Lmde install alongside Windows 10
I found an another way to install LMDE without creating partitions with GParted.
I install first LM20 alongside W10, then create an bootable usb with LMDE and format the previously created partition for LM20 in LMDE custom partition menu, i selected the "/" as boot.
In my case the /boot/efi on /dev/sda2 are used by grub and windows boot manager.
It takes more time, but easier for an average user.
Works well
It cames without swap partition, not recommended for computer with low memory.
My next test creating swap and separate home partition.
If successfull i make an HowTo.

EDIT:
After test i made it working well with 3 dedicated partitions => Swap, Root, Home

The HowTo are available here
