Hi,
I have a dual boot between Windows 10 and Kali.
I would like to erase the Kali distro in favor of Linux Mint while keeping Windows 10, please.
I already burned the LMDE.iso to a bootable USB.
Could you please confirm based on the following screenshot (partitions on my disk)
That deleting p5, p6 and p4 will do the job ?

Re: Install Linux Mint on a Dual Boot
There's no need to delete any partitions, especially P4 as that looks like an NTFS (Windows) partition.sim4n6 wrote: That deleting p5, p6 and p4 will do the job ?
It appears that Kali is on P5, so just install LMDE there.
Re: Install Linux Mint on a Dual Boot
p6 is a linux-swap partition won't affect the re-installation. To be deleted also.
But the p4 I have no idea !
So you suggest to delete one single partition ?

Me either. I don't use Windows, but if I wanted to keep it, I would be cautious and not delete any of its components.sim4n6 wrote:But the p4 I have no idea !
You can make this as simple or complex as you want. If it were me, I wouldn't delete any of the partitions. I would just format/install LMDE as a single partition on P5, leveraging P6 as swap.sim4n6 wrote: So you suggest to delete one single partition ?
Re: Install Linux Mint on a Dual Boot
