Lmde5 legacy multiboot with btrfs?

Post by screenshot »

so i was thinking that i could install lmde5 with the new btrfs filesystem, but will it keep all of the previous windows installs when i create new partitions at the end of the ssd for lmde5 and format the root and home partition as btrfs? and the regular legacy boot partition can still be ext4 or ext2**?
and if i dont create the home folder separately, then the btrfs system will just create a home folder itself, but with some random size, so i could just set my own preferred size manually during the installation?

i read from somewhere that grub wont see any other btrfs filesystem on the disk, but does it still see all windows partitions and will not ruin them in any way? (win7 and win10)
