LMDE3 updated iso

I'm a happy user of LMDE3 and I'm very excited as I hear there is work ongoing to LMDE4.

Anyway, LMDE3 is still my preferred choice for any case where I need a live distro or I want to create a fast and reliable OS into a virtual machine.
Now, as time goes by, new bugs are fixed and both Mint & Debian guys happily release new packages, making my home PC updated and safe.
BUT when it comes to my iso, it is still the same as it was in middle of 2018 and it has NOT the updates I get into my everyday PC.

Is there a way to integrate updated packages into the installation media image and get a fresh LMDE3?

Hi @topolink,
Not that I'm aware of, short of completely rebuilding the iso image yourself. That said, IIRC Clem and co did release an updated LMDE 2 iso at some point, so it's not impossible that they'd do the same for LMDE 3. Honestly though with LMDE 4 so close I wouldn't expect this.

That would be a wasted effort. The LMDE4, even in Beta, is pretty much ready for prime time. Chill a couple weeks for the grand final-ly and do a fresh install. If you're a tweaker ? install the beta and tweak it yourself.
Install it beside the 3 in a different partition and install boot to the 4 during install, later you can wipe out the 3 when you're sure 4 is perfect for your setup.
