Wysiwyg HTML editor for LMDE 3 ?

Hello.

I'm looking for a Wysiwyg HTML editor for LMDE 3, preferably something light (I'll only have a few web pages to create : HTML and CSS).
There is none available through the software manager.

I have been using SeaMonkey but it is quite limited.

Bluegriffon can be installed but does not run.
Brackets is not really a Wysiwyg editor.
Kompozer has not been updated for a decade and when I try to run it, I get the following error :

Code: Select all

$ ./kompozer
./kompozer-bin: error while loading shared libraries: libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Aptana seems quite a heavy-weight.

Any suggestion ?

Perhaps stating already known to you but LMDE 3 will reach end of support on July 1st: viewtopic.php?f=245&t=315648

Anyway, I don't think LMDE 4 has more options for wysiwyg editors than LMDE 3 but as a heads-up. I would have suggested SeaMonkey but you want something that does more.

Does Bluegriffon given any output when you run it from the terminal?

Looking outside the repository perhaps something like https://pingendo.com/ if you're building static websites. Or commercial offering like https://pinegrow.com/. I found those by searching on https://alternativeto.net/ and don't know how well they fit with yours needs but perhaps you can find some other alternatives yourself. These might be doing things you don't need. I don't do much website building and if I do it's HTML by hand with some small scripted automation.
