System monitoring
Can someone recommend a good monitoring tool to me? I'm looking for something that can also monitor the hardware, among other things.

Re: System monitoring
I recommend Conky:

Note that all monitoring tools tend to be rather heavy on the system resources, when refreshing with too short an interval. So set the interval to 2 seconds (or 1.5 second at the utmost).

Re: System monitoring
Thanks Pjotr, Conky is actually a hot candidate. In addition to the few things that are worth being monitored permanently, I am also primarily concerned with the statistical recording of data traffic, such as swap space, disk storage, RAM, cash storage, etc. Its configurability and graphics capabilities are definitely impressive!
