Zoom problem: Copy and Paste into Chat doesn't work from LibreOffice Writer [SOLVED]

I have been using Zoom on my Mintbox 2 Mini Pro LMDE 4 Debbie Cinnamon 4.8.6. Before meeting with up to 6 friends on a Zoom meeting which I am hosting, I contact my co-host and restart the meeting - which seems to avoid audio/video lags from any previous meeting. Thanks to wallyUSA!

The Chat feature does not seem to work well for me. I can type in a comment in the Chat which will be seen by everyone but when I try to Copy and Paste (Right Mouse Button) from LibreOffice Writer I find I cannot Paste into Chat.

Any answers from fellow Zoom users with LMDE 4, please?

Brilliant answer wallyUSA! Have followed your advice and with Crtl V my Copied text comes straight in. It also helped to read up (now) about the Ctrl V command. Thank you so much.

Make sure you keep your Zoom up to date. They update frequently. I just updated yesterday to version 5.5.4 (7938.0228). I support an adult ed org for online Zoom classes. The latest crowd we've had so far was 36 people. We meet several times a week.
