Seems that the openbox package in LMDE4 is broken.
When I try to open to the applications menu entry, I receive an error msg telling me that the path '/usr/bin/obamenu' is not valid.

Re: Openbox broken
I believe it is supposed to be /usr/bin/obmenu
You did something un-good.
Openbox works fine on Buster Debian 10 (same base as LMDE4 (ask the people on BunsenLabs.org)

Re: Openbox broken
If the path should have been /usr/bin/obmenu then the openbox package has been build with a wrong path name.
Output from apt content openbox:
/usr
/usr/bin
/usr/bin/gdm-control
/usr/bin/obamenu
/usr/bin/obxprop
/usr/bin/openbox
/usr/bin/openbox-session
Output from apt content openbox:
/usr
/usr/bin
/usr/bin/gdm-control
/usr/bin/obamenu
/usr/bin/obxprop
/usr/bin/openbox
/usr/bin/openbox-session

Re: Openbox broken
If you google your usr/bin/obamenu 'error' this comes up. Have you checked this out? Maybe it will help.

FWIW. I recommend that if you really want to use OB (openbox) in its best instantiation on Debian, try BunsenLabs. I, also, have built it without difficulty on antiX and MXLinux (see: https://eirenicon.org/?s=openbox )

Re: Openbox broken
Nah, too much of a hassle to fiddle with python path commands.
Mine points to python-3.7.3 because I need that for other packages.
Going back to god old fluxbox, but thanks for your input anyways.
