Has anyone heard if Cinnamon 5.x will make it to LMDE4? Or will we not see this until LMDE5???
Also... Has anyone heard if LM20.2 updates will make it into LMDE4????

There likely will not be an LMDE5 at least until Debian Bullseye (development branch) replaces Debian Buster (stable branch), and if there ever is an LMDE5, what the Mint development team might put together is anyone's wild guess.Jon Spoonamore wrote: ⤴Fri Jul 09, 2021 2:38 am Has anyone heard if Cinnamon 5.x will make it to LMDE4? So we should reasonably expect Cinnamon 5.0 to be available for LMDE4Following the stable release we’ll open up the upgrade path from Linux Mint 20.1 and Linux Mint 20 and we’ll port all the new packages towards LMDE 4
dual boot LMDE4 (mostly) + LM19.3 Cinnamon (sometimes)

If you want a more modern kernel in LMDE4, you can install a backported kernel.
I've been running 5.10 for some time (months):-
