Could anyone help me with the report from my Firefox?

Does anyone know why Firefox shows the report (EOL - Your version of Linux Mint is no longer supported). As far as I know LMDE4 is still supported... Do I have bad version of Firefox? But Mint updater does not offer any other version of Firefox to me. I have tried to change mirrors (only once), but with no effect.
What should I do?

The start page address in your screenshot is https://www.linuxmint.com/start/rosa/. Rosa is Linux Mint 17.3. That is indeed End Of Life. LMDE 4's start page is https://www.linuxmint.com/start/debbie/ and is not End Of Life.

Perhaps you copied a home folder from a previous Linux Mint 17.3 installation to your current LMDE installation, copying the home page in Firefox? In Firefox Settings, under Home, you can change the homepage and set the custom URL to https://www.linuxmint.com/start/debbie/.

What should I say...? The basic step (to watch the adress line) and I need a support. This is the reality - I am not young anymore
Thank you indeed...

Re: The new website is looking good

Hi,
Something is strange on the new site. I use LMDE4, and my welcome page is now
image0.png
I think that this is wrong, because I've always kept my Linux up to date. The system information window displays "LMDE 4 Debbie".

Moreover, the link "Installation Instructions" at the bottom redirects to "readthedocs.io".

All of this looks like it's been hacked

That is indeed where we keep our installation instructions.

What is the complete URL of the page you are showing in your screenshot?

The address for the start page shown in your screenshot is https://www.linuxmint.com/start/debian/, which is for a no longer supported version of LMDE. You likely upgraded in place from an older LMDE version, or you copied the home directory?

In Firefox Settings, under Home category, you can change the homepage and set the custom URL to https://www.linuxmint.com/start/debbie/. That is the correct start page address for LMDE 4.

This is correct and has in been in use for a long while. Readthedocs is a platform for publishing documentation, it makes it easy to offer the same document in various formats (HTML,PDF, ePub) and in multiple languages. You can find all the Linux Mint documents also through the main website: https://linuxmint.com/documentation.php

Thank you for the help :)

Yes, my original installation was LMDE 1, later upgraded to LMDE2, then 3 and now 4.

I've changed my start page in Firefox. Since I was used to have the latest news displayed and I no longer see them in https://www.linuxmint.com/start/debbie/ , I changed to https://blog.linuxmint.com/ instead.

Yeah, I missed that as well. I've asked Clem if this is something still to be added to the new start page.

It's been added now.

Also, just for info, the value for the home page is set in debian-system-adjustments, so it should change as you upgrade. That said, if you ever change it in Firefox it will no longer change since it becomes a custom setting then.
