This PSA is for LMDE users that had automatic updates enabled in Update Manager.
mintupdate 5.8.7 will disable automatic updates. If you had enabled them prior to the update, please re-enable them yourself in preferences.
This is caused by a necessary change in mintupdate. (For the technical minded: it no longer relies on systemd timers for automatic updates but uses its own flag for this. The update could not re-apply the user preference for automatic updates.)
