Wireless scanning using Canon Pixma G3411 on LMDE 4 not working

Hello, last week I've bought Canon Pixma G3411 wireless printer and connected it to my router and wireless printing and scanning works perfectly on Windows, while on Linux only wireless printing works. Does Linux support wireless scanning and if it yes, how can I get it to work?

I find that the first attempt to scan with my wireless Canon Pixma MG2960 always fails with 'no scanner detected' using Simple Scan. Click scan again and it works fine. Never a problem with wireless printing on it from my LMDE4 PC or from my wife's Win10 laptop.

I find that the first attempt to scan with my wireless Canon Pixma MG2960 always fails with 'no scanner detected' using Simple Scan. Click scan again and it works fine. Never a problem with wireless printing on it from my LMDE4 PC or from my wife's Win10 laptop.
