printing delay in mint lmde 5

Hi,

I got a problem with my printer in lmde 5.
Printing starts with a long delay of a couple of minutes.
Printer is a Brothers mfc-215c,
the driver install tool was downloaded from the brother homepage, printer worked so far in older linux distributions without delay.
Lsusb shows:

Don't how the delay happens, maybe someone can give a hint?
