should the setting in
Networkmanger.conf
managed=false
or should it be
managed=true
because so far i have not been able to connect to any of the networks that i can see when clicking on the network thingy next to the clock
when i click on the appropiate connection it shuts down as though invoking the " this might be false so turn off/shutdown "

I think that setting involves network devices specified in /etc/network/interfaces, if managed=false then network manager will not manage that interface

yes well that seems a bit awkward now doesnt it
device shows available networks
but doesnt appear to be listed as an interface
the interface file says some junk like
