Hello,
I have Linux Mint Debbie installed on a 2006 iMac. The wifi chip is a broadcom B4311 card. Is there a command I can use where I can have the WiFi enabled even when I reboot my computer?

Sorry that I can't really help other than saying that I previously used an MBP 2.5GHz i5 from 2012, and that required a driver download for its Broadcom wireless chip. once that was installed, it remained working. It was the only device I ever used that didn't have its wifi on automatically. I found help on these pages outside of the LMDE section, I can recall that.

I think I actually figured it out. I am now using Mint 20.1 and the wifi is staying on. I am entered in a code on the terminal I got from UnixExchange.com and I'm going to test it out now. I will post back in 5 to tell you all if it works.

What code did you use to make it work or the URL?

Re: RE: How to keep wifi enabled at all times
Oh gosh I would have to research it all over again. Basically the key is to look for disabling the wifi power saving and go into the sudo config files and change a number from 3 to 2.
Re: RE: How to keep wifi enabled at all times
In /etc/NetworkManager/conf.d/default-wifi-powersave-on.conf change wifi.powersave = 3 to wifi.powersave = 2. Restart the network manager: systemctl restart NetworkManager.
