Goodbye and thanks

Post by dclement »

Dear forum members,

I'm going to leave this forum, because I'm moving away from my faithful LMDE2 (well, not quite, because I'm going for SolydX, which after all was derived from LMDE). Upgrading my old system, which was installed with the 2011 XFCE iso, would be too much of a hassle.

Now I would like to say a big thank you to all of those who helped me. Especially--to name but a few--: Monsta (who saved my day more than once), KevinTheFixer, KillerDeBug, Pjotr, Xenopeek, Fred Barclay, Gene Benson, Flemur... Hope I'm not forgetting too many!

Now I guess the rate of stupid questions will decrease and the average knowledge by user will get a boost :)

Long live LMDE and best regards, Daniel

Hello,

SolydX is a wonderful distro too.

See you next time. Though I'm using MX, I'm still registered on (and visit) many Linux forums... ;)

Aww, thanks! I haven't been able to help out as much as I would like recently and had been feeling bad about it, so thanks for the encouragement that I may have actually you helped a bit, even if only in a small way. :D

Goodbye and do drop by from time to time! I'm just returning to LMDE myself from a long stint on Arch... who knows, maybe one day you too will hear the siren's call of LMDE and return. ;) Until then, best of luck with SolydX. I've heard lots of great things about it.

Cheers!

I used SolydX for a couple of years...As the name says...it is Solid. What concerned me the most about the distro was it is supported by a very small team, if something were to happen to either the team lead (Arjen is his name) or the other 2 or 3 support team members, the distro would die. I just feel more comfortable with a distro that has a larger support team.
