Should LMDE version numbering follow Debian starting with LMDE 4? At least the Major number?
Suggest LMDE 4 should actually be LMDE 10.
Also sugggest LMDE 10 could be both Mate and Cinnamon.

Re: Should LMDE version numbering follow Debian
Your questions indicate a distinct lack of understanding of the LM and Debian ecosystems. LMDE is a fallback in case there ever comes a time when the devs cannot use Ubuntu. Naming LMDE according to Debian methods is pointless. Ubuntu is based on Debian. Try convincing them with your suggestion. Why bother following Debian numbering when that numbering only makes sense to Debian?

Re: Should LMDE version numbering follow Debian
I do know the reason for LMDE existence.
The suggestion was purely from a point that since its based on Debian, the number would clearly indicate the Debian version its based on at the outset.
Just purely for claritys sake.
