lmde and frostwire

hello there, just wondering, i have been trying to get frostwire to work for over a week on lmde4. it seems i don't have the java it requires.
it wants JRE 14. i have been looking around online and all the ideas i have found dont work or links have been too old or dont work.
i really want to know why? if i cant solve this i will have to use a different program like deluge ............ please help

Frostwire is not available as a Debian package - you can't just use the Ubuntu version.

Why not just use sudo apt install transmission

i was just curiouse, i dont like transmission, but i have tried deluge and its not bad, thanks
