Website alternative

I am currently using WordPress for my website. I have been thinking of an alternative that is low cost and simpler to maintain than WordPress.

I'd love to hear back from people who don't use WordPress for their personal website. My it's is very simple. It's content driven and also uses castos which is a podcasting service. I love using their WordPress plugin. I'll have to find an alternative way to displaying my radio shows which reside on the castos servers.

I'm using mint lmde and really like it!!

You might consider Blogger (which is from Google). See my website:

Also for static pages, i.e. not just for blog posts. Completely cost-free, high-quality professional-grade hosting, maintenance-free, no ads unless you want them (I do), very easy online editor, access to the underlying HTML code etc.

Drupal is better than Wordpress for things like asset management and just about everything else more complicated than blogging. There are companies offering hosted Drupal. I am looking at adding video to a site and fast full resolution video is way beyond most hosting. The first thing everyone will ask is

What do you have on your current site and what do you want to add over the next couple of years?
