Not really suitable for LMDE5 even with backport kernels unless you can live with this:
no audio via speakers or headphone socket
stuck at 60 Hz refresh rate instead of 165 Hz being available too
fractional scaling is not good (the screen is 16" 2560x1600)
the NVIDIA GPU isn't recognised by nouveau
what did work?
amdgpu detected radeon graphics fine but that did not detect the panel properly
wifi
bluetooth
touchpad
boost mode for the cpu
thermals were good
both nvme drives and memory chips detected and accessible
usb dvd and hdd
ethernet lan
web cam
EDIT - same result with Mint 20.3 Edge, I'll try tumbleweed or something arch-based next as they may have a better chance of working with it
Lenovo Legion 7-16ACHg6 (not 100% compatible with LMDE5)

I’ll tell you a DNS joke but be advised, it could take up to 24 hours for everyone to get it.

Slightly different Legion in this LM20.3 topic [SOLVED] Lenovo Legion 5 refresh rate stuck on 60,01 Hz, but maybe something there will help.antikythera wrote: ⤴Tue Jun 21, 2022 5:58 pmstuck at 60 Hz refresh rate instead of 165 Hz being available too

Yeah thanks that should indeed work (same processor graphics and panel), I'll note it for future reference. Tumbleweed works, I had sound and opensource nvidia drivers up and running. That to me indicates the toys will be ready for LTS by Mint 22
