Liking or appreciating posts?

Post by AwesomeOpossum74 »

Have not found a way to do this.

As I read through the forum, there are many informative posts. Rather than replying, is there a way to show appreciation for knowledge given?

Some forums do not have likes or dislikes because they either turn into popularity contests rather than indications of the quality or usefulness of posts or they are misused by trolls who gang up to get someone they don't like or they disagree with essentially booted off a forum. The latter generally happens on forums that are either too cheap to provided regulated moderation or have mods that are too lazy to properly moderate and let the forum software do the moderation.

You can always post a thank you note in this thread: Thank you to those supporting others here!.

Or even in the relevant thread. A more personal and direct way of displaying gratitude.

Yes, except that if a thread is more than a year old, we prefer that it doesn't get bumped. There are always people who don't notice that it's old, and get confused about different versions of Mint and what have you.
