linux mint base update

my desktop at the moment linux mint 4.0 gnome edition i have just recentily updated it to U.H.H 8.04 as its suggestion is to add some of the updated features into the update repositories of linux mint.

Well one of the things not to do is dist-upgrade to Hardy Heron
This will break Mint and leave you with some mintified Ubuntu
For the same reason we should not use any repo for Hardy in Daryna (or a repo for Feisty/Celena)
The repos are version specific (nowadays even Romeo)
And Hardy is still beta
We will have Elyssa main ready soon after Hardy and now that the problems to port to KDE are solved the KDE version will (hopefully) be ready not long after, so there is no pressing need to port Hardy apps to Daryna
Don't fix it if it ain't broken, don't break it if you can't fix it
