Integration of the keyring with other apps like Evolution

Postby davidsimps0n » Fri Apr 11, 2008 3:19 pm

Hello,

I have noticed that when Evolution saves passwords for email accounts, it does not save them in the keyring, another example is pidgin,

I personally think that it is a good idea to have a centralized way in a distribution to store passwords of such nature. I like this distro a lot, and I would like to see something like the openSUSE integration of various application to LinuxMInt.

Does any one know if there is any way to integrate this key ring with all the applications that support it?

Thanks a lot!

David,

Husse,

Thank you very much for your reply.

Does that mean that, currently, there is no way to do it on Mint?

Cheers,

David

As far as I know the keyring just stores passwords to wifi
There has been some talk about making better use of it, but I don't know how
