Change of Default Media Player

Post by Guest » Tue Apr 29, 2008 9:19 am

The default media player is set to Totem which cannot be changed. When I go to favorite applications and under media player pick custom then type VLC, Totem still pops up when I pick streaming video link in Firefox.

To go around this I have to install Media Player Connectivity plug-in for Firefox which will let me list the link and launch VLC or other player. This works but consumes time with several unnecessary clicks.

And what does this matter with suggestions? This is more like a support question.
Don't blame me for my bad english. This is not my native language.

Are the decisions that you make, when you have no time to make them, that define who you are.
