Same here. And this is the only site that I know that logs me out randomly and multiple times a day.

I thought that it might be because of one of my plugins, but I have LM forums white-listed in most of them.

Now that we have a second site for this thread I see - in FF - that on the second page the blue lock icon shows (as it should), but not on the first page. This is reproducible on the virtual machine with a brand new FF-profile without login in.

I admit I did not get the idea, because I have never seen this issue anywhere else and because Clem wrote on another place that there is an issue with this icon.

I just opened this thread in QupZilla; there both pages of this thread show the correct icon.
This indicates, that there is a bug in FF. BTW, in contrast to most users here I use the ESR-version; this means, that it doesn't seem to be a problem of the one or other version of FF.

Even Palemoon is having the problem now.
If I load this very page it shows secure before I login--
then shows Mixed mode (partially encrypted)

I can try konqueror I suppose. I am also using Pale Moon by default.

*While not logged in on konqueror was fine, then this:

After logging in I am seeing considerably greater processor activity when viewing the same page
(such as the board index page)

I'm not getting that, I'm hovering between 18 and 30% everywhere.

I'm seeing the same problem. I use Pale Moon also. So what can be causing this? I don't think it can be the browser as it seems the same thing happens in other browsers.

Can this be the problem (see screenshot)? That entry doesn't appear when logged out.

proc.png
Normally my idle is indicated 1 to 2% which is shown by the beginning and ending in the time-line.
The Middle 2/3 of the graph is 8 to 9% processor activity when logged in.
You can see where I did nothing but log out still viewing the index page.
(I use that page because it should be fairly static). .
The processor has dropped back to 1 to 2% after logout.
The overall time-line represents 370 seconds.

Have you upgraded Pale Moon lately? There was a new release recently. 26.1.1

Hi Schultz--'I know Nothing' One of my nostalgic favorites.
Palemoon is forked from Mozilla and uses much of the same code, so it's curious that it was still
working for a while after I noticed the problem in FF.
I was hoping someone with chrome or opera would report their experience.
Right this minute FF is showing this page of the thread secure again--and I am logged in.

It's probably one of the offenders. There are probably lots of them. I have one too, but from someone else and when I refresh the site is secure until that image loads. The funny thing is that that image is not on the page that I'm looking at, and I cleared my history, everything.

It's probably going to be like that unless everyone gets their images on https.

PS: Who browses a Linux forum with Windows????? :)

Yeah, it's weird it's trying to load when it isn't even on this page.

How come this forum doesn't allow image uploads for avatars? That would solve the problem. I took my avatar of Sgt. Schultz off because it wasn't available over https (and I can't find one that is).

I saved it then uploaded it to imgur. You don't need an account there, and they will be there forever or until imgur goes "out of business". AFAIK
