Old topics
Topics older than 3 years could be automatically locked to prevent reactivation. What do you say?
Re: Old topics
That is not a bad idea, but I'm not sure that the software we're using has that option. One of the admins will need to weigh in on that.

If your issue is solved, kindly indicate that by editing the first post in the topic, and adding [SOLVED] to the title. Thanks!
Re: Old topics
Just don't do it to any of my HowTo's please.
Please add a [SOLVED] at the end of your original subject header if your question has been answered and solved.
Re: Old topics
Right, then it can't be automatic unless there is also a way to force a topic to stay open.
And doing it by hand: no sirree. No chance of that.

Re: Old topics
That would be great! Nothing more annoying than reading a bunch of posts only to realise it's an obsolete thread from years back which someone resurrected with an often unrelated or throwaway comment at the end.

Force topics to stay open from a specific user, on a list somewhere on the server.
Re: Old topics
Again, I don't know whether the software offers that option.
