lm 18.1 HATE wallpaper change/slide show fade effect

Post by sadhu »

In LM 17.0 wallpaper changes and the slide show were instantaneous. In LM18, now there's a delay for fade-in.

Please either REVERT to instantaneous, or make in configurable somehow. Or if itis configurable, would appreciate knowing the secret.

IMO it was working, now it's broke.

I think fade looks nicer.

Install dconf-editor and look for org.cinnamon.muffin. Under that you will find a key for "background-transition". Set it to none.
When I give opinions, they are my own. Not necessarily those of any other Linux Mint developer or the Linux Mint project as a whole.

Diff'rent strokes....

Thanks very much for the info about dconf-editor. I already installed it, but hadn't the foggiest notion where the setting was.
