What do you understand with "password status" and what are "other security status"?

AFAIK, there's no such monitoring application. Nor is it needed.

The only things to do are stick to the official repo's for your software, enable your firewall (one-time action), install security updates without too much delay (Update Manager warns about those) and above all, use your common sense.

This isn't the poisoned jungle of the Windows world. Relax, you're running Linux.

So you are looking for something like security suites in Windows to tell you that you are protected and there are no security gaps in your system? Well, you don't have to. Just like Pjotr said, if you see a green tick on the Update Manager, everything is fine.

Regarding password status: Without root-permission you are not even able to change the password to another one with less than 8 signs. So what shall be the meaning of such an indicator?

Regarding logs: Such an indicator would never change its appearance, some new log info will nearly permanently get changed (but this does not mean, that there is necessarily something bad). An indicator to show, that something has happened, what you know also without the indicator, does make no sense.

Regarding security alerts: If a security leak gets known and fixed, that update manager offers them and you see it in the tray icon. No additional status icon is needed.
