Add "New Wave" theme

Post by Eucalyptus »

Hi,

I wish there is a mintified "New Wave" theme. I missed this theme from Ubuntu 9.04. The Mint's theme Shiki-Mint is almost it but it has a Black menu which makes it hard to read (at least for me).

Hope that "New Wave" theme is part of your plan for next Mint version.

I think you should be able to install the new wave theme from the ubuntu-artwork package. EDIT: nope, rivenathos has found the right package:

The New Wave theme is part of the gnome-themes-ubuntu package. You can open Synaptic, find the gnome-themes-ubuntu package, install it, and then it should be available in your Appearances > Themes options.
Current hardware: a Dell OptiPlex 3010 desktop, a Dell Inspiron 531 desktop, and a Dell Inspiron 1545 laptop.
