Some people love keyboard shortcuts, as you are improving the Welcome Screen (Mint's blog post), consider this:
- Create a button, "Keyboard Shortcuts"
- List all the shortcuts(or the main ones) followed by a very short description of what each one does

Welcome Screen: list of keyboard shortcuts

Re: Welcome Screen: list of keyboard shortcuts
Open the keyboard settings -> keyboard shortcuts (this is for Cinnamon). You can see them and you can change them if needed.
Re: Welcome Screen: list of keyboard shortcuts
That area is not the best(it could be improved), specially for new users.
Ubuntu Budgie has something similar to this idea, their Welcome Screen has a list of the shortcuts, it helps a lot, this will be a great addition to Linux Mint.

Re: Welcome Screen: list of keyboard shortcuts
Everything can be improved. But my advice does work already today.
Re: Welcome Screen: list of keyboard shortcuts
If any dev see this, check when you have some time:

The keyboard shortcuts are inside a menu when you click on the "Getting Started" button... you can see it on this video, at minute 1:00

It's an interesting idea, I think it would help new users that just installed Linux Mint.
