Disable network on LM Live DVD/USB-stick

Post by RobertoR »

I find that installing Linux Mint with internet connection a security risk. Personally I would not connect to any network/internet before the installation is finished and have setup the firewall. But when I boot from a LM Live boot disk the network manager always connect to the internet. I know that if you disconnect you network cable you don't have no connection, but many times I forget that and notice it when I am in the middle of the installation. And if someone need/want internet connection for the installation/testing it can be easily activated with two clicks.

I have fixed my problem with a new computer where I can disable my wifi (some very good option from asus).
But still I found that it is a security risk for persons who are a target!
