Posting warning on "Preview Sound Files" parameter

Post by wpshooter »

I am requesting that a warning message saying that the "preview sound files" parameter
should be disabled in instances where sound files are being copied from one drive location
to another drive location.

I am requesting this because I have found that if the "preview sound files" parameter is
left in the enabled mode while attempting to copy sound files from one drive location to
another, that the preview function can cause the disk copy operation to NOT close/finish properly
OR if there is another way of avoiding this problem, please consider it as a fix to the disk operation
not being closed properly when the preview is in the enabled state.

Thanks.
Mint 21.3 Mate.

This sounds like a bug to me. Can you provide more information about your system (version of Linux Mint, which desktop you use, etc). Please go to a terminal and type the following command and post the output here:

Code: Select all

inxi -Fxz
Which file manager do you use?

See info from command below.

I have observed this problem on Mint 19 mate and also other older versions
and also on systems other than the one given below.

The file manager is whatever is installed by default when installing Mint 19.

Let me know if you need more info. Thanks.
