A line called "Open on workspace:" added into the startup applications GUI

Post by eikeist »

Basically like I said in the title.
On my startup routine I have a couple of custom scripts as well as other programs running and it's always annoying to move them manually to their desired workspace.

As far as my research on that "issue" goes there are some ways to write a custom script with "wmctrl" for me that's not an option due to the windows having all the same names and wmctrl would get confused by that.

This is a pure quality of life and workflow improvement but I think it still would be nice to have. :)

Edit: typos

I would like that, and use it.

There are ways and means. See my post here for an example that you might be able to adapt

Looked into it and was able to tweak it for my needs. Thanks

I still think adding a line to the startup applications menu would simplify the process a lot. :)

Edit: getting the quote right :D
