Nvidia and Nouveau coexist using libglvnd possible?

Is it possible to have seamless switch between Nvidia and Nouveau without having to remove either drivers?
Can Nvidia and Nouveau be made to coexist using libglvnd? https://github.com/NVIDIA/libglvnd
If it is possible to make Nvidia and Nouveau coexist using libglvnd, it may be to possible to make Nouveau a fallback driver so you wont end up with black screen in case Nvidia fails.
