Dear Mint Team,
We would like to roll out Linux Mint to all our desktop users in our office. Understand that we can do auto-update from Update Manager's preferences. Would like to suggest one feature to make it safer to turn on auto-update, please consider:
Allow Administrator/User to specify how many hours (eg. 48 hours) a patch has been made available in the repositories before the patch can be applied. Of course, if there is any dependent app, all must satisfy this condition too.
Thanks.
Regards,
David

Re: Suggestion: Time delayed auto-update
I don't see how a patch gets better after 48 hours. If you want to review patches before applying them add them to a central local repository after review and point your desktops to that instead.
I see no chance for your suggestion to get added but don't let me stop you from raising it at the correct place nonetheless: https://github.com/linuxmint/mintupdate/issues

My money talks and laughs. It says "Gone with the wind! BWAHAHAHAHAHAAHA!"

Haha sure, feel free to make me an offer for a custom solution, but I still don't see this going into the general distribution.HaveaMint wrote: ⤴Mon Nov 26, 2018 6:39 amSometimes money will talk.
