File clipboard

Post by Minty-Green »

Hi!

I've got the following idea:
Often we want to send a scanned document or something like that to somebody. We have then to save the document and open it then in the mail-client or Telegram or Signal or something else.

It would be nice to have a "Save to file-clipboard"-button in the Save-window and a "Open from file-clipboard"-button in the open-window. So the file don't had to be saved really (and deleted after sending).

Sorry for my poor English. I hope you understand me.

Thank you!

Greetings,

That makes so much sense I tried to to reply with the manner in which to do this currently only to now find myself slightly confused as to not coming up with anything other than approximations.

If I'm not just being groggy, that might just mean your notion is good enough that it deserves being taken further upstream to e.g. GNOME and KDE; to freedesktop.org.
