suggestion: PDF Printer

I am writing a large document with Libre Office (> 500 Pages).

1)

The Export as PDF is not a Problem: The PDF is white Paper with black text, and colored pictures and colored tables are exported well.

My idea is to change the function "Printer - Print into a file".


2)

But is there a way to invert the PDF:

White TEXT on black background ?
Inverted Colors of pictures and tables ?

Then, it is less stressful for my eyes to read the PDF on the PC.

Please check, if you could realize the suggestion.

Go to
Settlings - Configure Okular - Accessibility -
Click Change Colours - leave Colour Mode as Invert Colours.

Ah, you're using XFCE. Well, you can still install Okular (not Ocular) on it, if you want. But the standard PDF viewer under XFCE is Xviewer, and it has this feature too; check the View menu for an entry called 'Invert colors'.

I suggest: When the window "Print to File - Print to PDF" is enabled: Please give the user the option to select "invert colors"

Since you can in most PDFs invert the colors using that setting in the View menu, it follows that the colors are not built into the PDF. In other words, that would not work since the colors are not a property of the PDF itself, they are just the way it's being presented to you by the viewer you are using.
So change that setting and it should work for most PDFs. To make it stick, choose 'Save current settings as default'.

A)

The solution I found through OKULAR means
- there is a PDF in which black text is written on white color
- the PDF is inverted while the reader is active

B)

I want to invert the PDF:
- the origin is black text written on white background in Libre office
- I want to create a PDF with WHITE TEXT on BLACK BACKGROUND

The PDF file should be inverted while the PDF is created.

You didn't have to, the standard PDF reader that you already had can do this, too.

Why? Even if it can be done, how is that better?

It would mean having a PDF with a set background color and font color. That's pretty inflexible. In other words, it may not be possible to invert it back if you want. That seems like a disadvantage to me.
