Recent Apps feature request for Cinnamon
I was very surprised to find out that Cinnamon doesn't show Recently Used Applications in its menu. You can only enable showing Recent Files. Please add this feature, because it is available even in less advanced desktop environments like XFCE.

Less advanced? Given that Xfce has been in development for well over 20 years, I consider it quite advanced.Stan4611 wrote: ... less advanced desktop environments like XFCE.

I second this. I recently installed Mint 20.3 Cinnamon, and I'm deeply disappointed not to have recent apps in Start menu.
Anybody knows, maybe there is some software or plug-in to bring this functionality in?

Cinnamenu - right click on panel > applets > download to install. Very configurable.
For custom Nemo actions, useful scripts for the Cinnamon desktop, and Cinnamox themes visit my Github pages.
