Yeah, tomorrow. Finding some indications that you might be better off disabling HiDPI scaling as such but use xrandr with nearest-neighbour scaling.

iih ---- God forbid! 200% HiDPI is fantastic - corresponding 0.5 settings with xrandr or arandr are pure junk compared to that.

Supposedly not with --filter nearest and specifically as to sharpness. Your upscaled Mint header bar doesn't look so fantastic and you seemed to agree.

Anyways; off for now...
