Postby Zoltan » Sat Jan 06, 2007 12:53 pm

If is poss. then it would be great to see at our repo the getdeb.net packages.

I have found great tools, like xarchive (without r!) extractor frontend, ISO editor Master ISO - and so on... take a look.

GETDEB does not have a repository could be added at this time.

http://www.getdeb.net/about.php
An APT repository could be setup but it should be clear that it could automatically upgrade the entire system to unsupported application versions.

Yes, there is no repository from getdeb.net but getdeb.net is featured on the following repository:

deb http://ubuntu.org.ua/ getdeb/

I wrote the repository in my sources.list some months ago and no problems occured so far.

-1, the getdeb packages are very dirty about versioning and debian standards, a getdeb repository would certainly cause dependency hell or whatever.
Don't blame me for my bad english. This is not my native language.

Are the decisions that you make, when you have no time to make them, that define who you are.

"Foreign" repositories may always get you in trouble, so any such should be used with care and mostly be commented out and only used when needed to install
