Xfce Daryna edition

Postby solar1951 » Tue Oct 23, 2007 9:10 am

I have been trying for a while to get a linux to "like" my old Toshiba portege with only 128 Mb RAM. I managed to get the new Xubuntu 7.10 installed by using the "alternate" install CD.
Would be nice to be able to install Xfce Mint in the same way.

You just about could make it with the live CD and XFCE - but it will be slow as a snail with the brakes on
If possible make a swap partition first - the live cd will use it
Remove the hard disk and do it in another computer perhaps

Don't fix it if it ain't broken, don't break it if you can't fix it
