cgmail for mint

Postby micpet » Mon Dec 31, 2007 8:52 pm

I found a new gmail checker and have used it with great results. It works better than any of those currently in the repositories. It has an ubuntu .deb package that installs very easy. The keyring asks for a password, but no worries, you have an option in the advances tab of the preferences to use a standard file for emails, and this eliminates the need for the minor annoyance of the keyringat startup. It is very straight forward to use, can be set to stay in the tray and allows you to go straight to gmail in your browser or in the OS's default mail option. Works great and integrates well with gnome. How about trying it and consider it for the next release. Feedback welcome.

Almost forgot the link

Not everyone uses gmail. Besides, space is scarce. There's not really a need to include it in a release.

^^^^^^^^^holds up a sarcasm sign.
space is scarce? SPACE IS SCARCE??? the Gnome cd only uses 693 of 700 megs, come on, surely people on dial up wouldn't mind having to dl another 7 megs.

On dial up, it's actually another 32 minutes of downloading.
Plus, the cd MUST be slightly smaller than the max capacity of a CD. CD's aint 100% correct sized every time.

I @Ede
you missed the sarcasm sign, I agree with you. I was just joking around, and making a point in a humorous sort of way, kind of like a priest in bar.
