Mint 8 x64

Postby budbaker44 » Sun Nov 29, 2009 9:36 pm

I have been using Linux Mint for not quite a year and started with Mint 7 so I have not been through a new install before with this distro. I was wondering when the Linux Mint 8 x64 is coming out. Or I guess I should ask how long from the Main Edition comes out till the x64 edition.

It probably will not be too long of a wait.

Given the wide variety of hardware out there I don't think anyone can tell you if any OS will be stable on a given machine until its loaded and running. The M8 64 version I downloaded a few days has run without any problems for me, so its stable as far as I am concerned. However as you can see from many of the the forum posts there are lots of folks having problems. My suggestion is give it a shot and just keep in mind that you are using a recently released version of Mint. Enjoy
If you don't like it, make something better
If you can't make something better, adapt
If you can't do either ball your panties up and cry.

Complaining is like masticating most anyone can do it.
However doing it in public is really hardcore.
