locked keyring with locked keyboard

Postby belton.vip » Thu Jul 29, 2010 8:44 pm

i had this problem once before, but can't remember where i found the solution. when booting up i get a pop up--keyring locked, but the keyboard is also locked. the solution is simple, i remember that much. I'm directly connected, so i haven't setup wireless yet. I'm using mint 9 64 bit.

thanks in advance.

I found this regarding the locked keyring
Was able to resolve by going into my home ./gnome2/keyrings folder and deleting the files.

For a locked keyboard I found a solution here, this gently/safely restarts the computer.
There is a post elsewhere that describes what each key does, but it definately works OK - even when the keyboard doesn't seem to respond.
