LMMS - updates Winter 2014

Post by dagon » Sat Mar 01, 2014 4:57 pm

LMMS has seen a revival since christmas/new year, and the work put into the project right now is nothing but amazing.
The latest official release is still 0.4.15 from last spring but the intention is to release lmms-1.0 in the near future.

Currently if you build from the latest source the version is 1.0.0 or from ppa 0.9.1.

Here is a video demoing the latest development. It's a month old now and already a bit dated.

News for 0.9.0, which you either build from source or install from a ppa.
-------------------
2 new instrument plugins, sfxr (yes, same as this one! http://www.superflashbros.net/as3sfxr/) and OpulenZ.
New fx plugins
Updated GUI
Bugfixes, bugfixes (and a couple of new bugs perhaps...) .

Latest deb package here:
https://launchpad.net/~dobey/+archive/audiotools

Code: Select all

sudo apt-add-repository ppa:dobey/audiotools
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install lmms
You can also get the source from github and compile it yourself.

To resolve the dependencies I recommend:

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get build-dep lmms
Happy happy joy joy... :D
