For Linux Mint 20.3 Xfce 64-bit
1. Settings>Languages>Language Settings>Install/remove languages>Add>Japanese (all entries)
3. Software Manager>search for Anthy and install. Then install Ibus-anthy
4. Settings>Input Metnod>Be sure Input method structure is IBus. Choose Japanese
5. Reboot
6. On inicialization window, look for IBus Preference>Input Method>Add Japanese>Choose Mpzc
7. Reboot
8. At task bar at right bellow, when writting Japanese choose Input Mode to Hiragana
