Adobe does not provide .deb files for Flash anymore. So installing a newer Flash version became a lot harder. But fortunately we can already pick Flash 11 from the Mint 12 repository. It also works on Mint 11.
32-bit: http://packages.linuxmint.com/pool/impo ... 2_i386.deb
64-bit: http://packages.linuxmint.com/pool/impo ... _amd64.deb
Both packages are roughly 6 MB in size.
You can just install those .deb files by double-clicking them.

You just also can go to this page and choose Linux 32 bit or Linux 64 bit following your system then choose: Flash Player 11 for Ubuntu (Apt) then click on "Download now"...

That APT link does not work on Mint, because it looks for a package in the "katya-partner" repository instead of "natty-partner".
By the way, it uses the repository package of Ubuntu instead of Adobe's newest Flash Player version. So anyone with an old Ubuntu version will get an old Flash version as well.

Seems a little over complicated and not necessary to me.
LM downloads and installs flash 11 via mint update. Has done on my LXDE and Gnome systems. I haven't changed any repositories to make them do this either.

Re: How to get Flash 11 on Mint 11 / Ubuntu 11.04
When you use Ubuntu's Flash (flashplugin-nonfree) it indeed updates to 11. But using Mint's Flash (mint-flashplugin) it doesn't.
If you installed Flash manually you may have used the Ubuntu version. But the Mint version is preinstalled on many Mint flavours. So many people are still using 10 even though all updates are installed.
I didn't know that Ubuntu already had Flash 11.
End of the story: you can also install flashplugin-nonfree to get Flash 11, it will automatically replace mint-flashplugin / Flash 10.

Re: How to get Flash 11 on Mint 11 / Ubuntu 11.04
Hi there! I have Julia x64, and i wonder if (and how) i can install flash 11. It was backported to Maverick a long ago, but it didn't hit Julia. Is it safe to install ubuntu's "flashplugin-installer" (or "flashplugin-nonfree")? Will it conflict with Julia's "mint-flashplugin-x64"?
I really wanted to upgrade, but I'm afraid it might break things around... any words of wisdom?

Ubuntu's flashplugin will just replace Mint's flashplugin when you install it.

Make sure that Flash 10 is uninstalled - it's named "mint-flashplugin-10.2", "mint-flashplugin-10.3" or "mint-flashplugin-square" in the software or package manager.
