solved, What is Fly?

Post by greengreen »

Hi,
I'm translating.
What is Fly, the new word that appeared on Cinnamon 755 on the launchpad?
Please tell me in another English.

It is in context of window effects. The configuration for those will be streamlined for Linux Mint 20.3. On Linux Mint 20.2 if you went to System Settings > Effects, then the Customize tab, toggled Customize settings, then clicked on the Traditional/None button for one of the window actions you would see this list of choices:

If you hover the mouse over any of those effects, it does a short animation to show you how the window will move with that effect.

You can see Fly up and Fly down here. That effect flies the window up or down. Check in your Linux Mint Cinnamon what text it shows in the same location for Fly up and Fly down? In upcoming Linux Mint 20.3 it will just be called "Fly".

Thank you for the easy-to-understand explanation.
Thanks to that, I can do it exactly.
